This week Loganville begins region play and travels up the road to face cross-town rival Walnut Grove and the Warriors at "The Grove" in Walnut Grove. Walnut Grove comes into this game getting their first win of the season, defeating Appalchee 40-26 at home to go 1-3 on the season. Statistics show that WG and LHS are close to each other when it comes to scoring points. Walnut Grove has put up 18.75 ,while LHS has put up exactly 12 points, per game. Loganville has put up 90.8 rushing yds while WG has put up 95.5 yds respectively. Walnut Grove leads in most categories statistically in this matchup from points, passing yards and total yards in general.
I think this will be a close matchup. I think you will see a spread out balanced offense on both fronts. Walnut Grove has a talented young quarterback in Colby Bell who has thrown for 583 yds this season in spite of the rough season. Running back Comor Hix has ran for 222 yds and 4 touchdowns. Look for Walnut Grove to exploit those two against the Loganville defense.
I am hoping for an LHS win. Walnut Grove has had a similarly tough year this year as LHS going down to Winder-Barrow 47-22, Oconee County 31-6 and Monroe Area 38-7 before winning over Applachee last week. Let's see if LHS can get theirs this week.
Hope you will be listening
